Chef Draden Medina


While being raised in the predominantly Latino communities of Huntington Park and South Gate in a Mexican and Salvadorian family, cooking was a form of self-expression and a time to bond with family for Chef Draden Medina. His formal training took place at the prestigious California Culinary Institute in San Francisco and The Arizona Culinary Institute in Scottsdale. Medina was exposed to a wide array of international fare and specialized training in Mediterranean, Italian and Classic American cuisine.
After culinary school Medina returned to Los Angeles to begin his work as a prep cook The Conga Room’s Boca Restaurant at L.A. LIVE. Catering to legendary rockstars and Beverly Hill’s most elite guests, he fortified a growing list of private clients. During this time Medina celebrated events like Los Angeles Zoo’s Annual Beastly Ball, The Pacific Design Cenver’s Fall Market Week and both weekends for Sundance Film Festival.
